Congratulations

Nothing is quite as exciting as the arrival of your baby, but it certainly can be exhausting. Sleep deprivation for new parents is a reality that can take away the enjoyment from your beautiful journey. With my experience and knowledge, I can help you and your family adjust to the new lifestyle and get the rest you need.

What's a newborn care specialist?

A newborn care specialist (NCS) is a professional caregiver trained and skilled in newborn care. They provide unique expertise in all aspects of newborn care, parental education and support. Their job is to help nurture and care for newborns while providing guidance and education for parents.

About Me

I am very trustworthy, reliable, transparent, loving, generous and caring at all times. I have been in the child care industry for over 20 years and Newborn Care Specialist for the last six years. In the past, I have served as an Acute Care Nurse Assistant working with disable children and medically fragile babies at a local Bay Area children's hospital.

Over the years, I have served 200+ families, ranging from singletons to multiples to premies, who entrusted their babies and children with my guidance and care. Helping families, especially watching children grow and nurturing them along the way, is incredibly rewarding. This is the kind of work that I love and feel passionate about.

I provide non-judgmental support to families and respect each baby's individuality. I respect and welcome all backgrounds, and I share appreciation for all cultures. As a Newborn Care Specialist, I take my occupation very seriously. I continue to enhance my expertise by taking classes in-person and online, read articles, conduct research and network among professional groups.

Last but not least, I carry dual citizenships in both the U.S. and Brazil. I am bilingual Portuguese and English. It's been a pleasure living in the Bay Area for the last 22 years. I hope we get the chance to connect!

Testimonials

Cristina is clean hardworking and she adapts very well to a baby's and mother's needs. She advised and coached us first-time parents when our baby was experiencing painful colics, and we were even able to learn how to sooth her better. If we have the chance to work with her in the future, we will do so in a heartbeat.

Armand R.

When my son got sick with RSV at 6 weeks, Cristina was the first to recognize it. She took great care of him. We feel very grateful to her for how she helped us in a very difficult time. You will not regret working with her.

Michael F.

We hired Cristina as a nighttime nanny for our twin newborns. Although twins can be overwhelming, she had no problem managing the babies' needs and worked with us to get them on a consistent sleep schedule. The babies loved her, and we felt lucky to have had her in our home to start them off on the right foot.
